About

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where my grandparents planted roots in 1961. My iconic grandma, Nancy Kravetz, inspired me to become an artist (and is now my VIP social media and web design client!). Like her, I find joy in everyday objects, live in awe of nature, and allow happy accidents to guide my artistic practice.

My love for art and academia drew me to the interdisciplinary Visual Studies program at the University of Pennsylvania where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa. There, I wrote an award-winning thesis on designing the built environment to support the diverse sensory needs of children with autism through a case study of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Alongside my studies and freelance graphic design practice, I taught dance to elementary and middle school students through CityStep. I loved this experience so much that I became a classroom teacher in New York City.

I worked in elementary education for six years with a focus on how kids see the world and can be supported by their physical environment. My experience in the classroom and master’s degree in childhood special education have instilled in me a passion for multisensory exploration and individualized learning.

My speciality as a freelance artist is distilling complex information into visually appealing and accessible design. My philosophy of streamlining and individualizing information applies both to the final design deliverables I provide for clients as well as our communication throughout each project.

When I’m not working on client projects, I am deepening my own creative practice through exploration of vintage technology, children’s art supplies, and natural materials. You can find curated creations of mine at Venus in Tokyo in Brooklyn, New York or shop made-to-order objects in my online shop. 🪄
